Advanced Open Water diving course
The SSI Advanced Open Water Course is the perfect next step for certified divers who want to build confidence, try specialty dives, and unlock deeper dive limits. Over two days, you’ll complete five adventure dives with one of our experienced instructors in a small group of no more than four students.

What to Expect from the SSI Advanced Open Water Course:
Part 1: Dive Theory and Briefings
Before each advanced training dive, you’ll complete short theory modules using the SSI e-learning platform. You’ll only study the sections relevant to the dives you choose and the 2 mandatory dives (Deep & Navigation), making the process more efficient and enjoyable. Some dives, like Navigation, may also include land-based skills to prepare you for what you’ll experience underwater.
Part 2: Five Adventure Dives in Two Days
You’ll complete five dives in the ocean, scheduled across two days and tailored to your selected specialties. We match each dive to the best available site and your comfort level. Shallow dives like Perfect Buoyancy or Navigation are often done first to help you settle in, while deeper options, like Wreck or Deep Diving, may come later in the course. All dives are conducted in small groups for a safer, more personalised experience.

*Please note that DPV and Photo/Video dives require extra fee. Each Adventure Dive also counts as the first dive toward the related SSI Specialty course.
Medical Statement
To participate in SCUBA lessons at Blue Dream, you need to be medically fit for diving. You can download the required medical statement for SCUBA diving. If you’re unsure whether you’re fit to dive, please consult your doctor or get in touch with us before booking your Advanced Open Water Course.
